CHIMNEY SWEEP AND INSPECTION
Inspecting the fireplace, chimney, or venting system is necessary in order to ensure the bi-products of combustion can be safely evacuated from the home. These bi-products are either smoke or carbon monoxide; both of which can be harmful if they enter your home.
We offer three different types of inspection:
Limited Inspection
An annual inspection is recommended to determine the suitability of the chimney for continued service. Limited to readily accessible areas of chimney, structure, and flue; lack of obstruction or combustible deposits in flue; basic appliance installation and connection. Includes chimney scan with state-of-the-art video inspection equipment.
Full Inspection
A more detailed and thorough inspection is recommended when conditions of use for the appliance or venting system are changing, or when a limited inspection reveals the need for a more detailed inspection. Includes inspection from the roof, attic, basement and crawl spaces if accessible. Includes chimney scan with state-of-the-art video inspection equipment.
Real Estate Inspection
Upon the sale or transfer of a property a more detailed and thorough inspection is recommended. Includes inspection from the roof, attic, basement, and crawl spaces if accessible. The goal is to determine if the fireplace, chimney, and venting system is fit for use, or in need of repair prior to the sale or transfer of the property. Includes chimney scan with state-of-the-art video inspection equipment.
Chimney Sweeping
After an inspection has been conducted, it can be determined if a sweeping is necessary. Sweeping is the act of removing dangerous deposits, debris, and highly combustible creosote that may have built up inside the chimney over time.
All services are performed in accordance to the CSIA standards, the IRC, and the NFPA 211.
